Track Out Crafting

So now that I'm tracked out....it's time for some crafts!!! I started with a wedding present that Jeff and I received back in October. I was a bad crafter and completely forgot to take before pictures...Sorry! So we got a clock that looked something like the clock below but it was black and gold: The only thing wrong with the clock is that we don't have any black in our house, so we couldn't find anywhere to put it up. So I painted the background creme, made some brown vinyl numbers, spraypainted the arms, and spray painted the outside of the clock. Presto-brown clock that matches our house now! Next project was to paint and hang some very large frames for our living room. My mom got some frames from work that they were giving away. She lovingly gave them to me and I spray painted them brown. Here is the before picture of the HUGE wall in our living room: Here it is after the frames are hung. Now they look really small becuase the wall is so massive...

Sister Beach Trip

Summer is a time for fun vacations! Ever since high school my sisters and I have had a sister beach trip. We realized that after high school we'd be farther apart and we'd need some girl time together. It started off as a day trip to the beach together and has now turned into a couple day trip. This year we went to Myrtle Beach together. This trip was a little different this year because three of us are married and Katie lives far away. It was good to reconnect with my sisters and have some fun away from everyday life! Because we were lounging around, reading, and relaxing on the beach I don't have many pictures. Here are the few that I do have:  Love you sisters! :)

Fathers and Houses

Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there. I now have two wonderful fathers to celebrate on this day! We got to spend last weekend with my dad and this weekend with Jeff's dad. This weekend was also our one year house anniversary. I can't believe it's been one year since God blessed us with this beautiful house! Birthday bash

It's birthday time again for me! I was spoiled enough to have 2 weekends full of birthday fun. Two weekends ago my grandparents were in town, so we got to celebrate together. My mom made a delicious tomato bisque which I have been craving for some time! She used to make it all the time when we were little, and I haven't had it in a LONG time! It turned out to be SO delicious.  On my actual birthday my class brought me in birthday cards that they made-they were so adorably cute! Then Anna's (a teaching friend of mine) class came to give me birthday letters. She is a kindergarten teacher and those were SO cute as well! Jeff surprised me at work on the 4th with adorable cake pops that looked like apples:   Then we went to PF Changs for dinner. YUM! This past weekend was the big family bash. First we went out to lunch at Red Robin where Lauren taught me how to use Instagram. Then we went to my parents so my dad could cook the family dinner. Yo...

Al's Wedding

On Memorial Day weekend, Jeff and I headed up to Washington D.C. for a wedding. The wedding was for one of Jeff's fraternity brother's-Al and Shana. Thankfully we didn't run into much traffic on our trip-either way! Shocking I know-especially for the D.C. area. Here's Jeff and I all ready for the wedding. The wedding took place in a very beautiful church. Shana and her dress were absolutely gorgeous!   The lovely couple. (There was a lot going on, so I don't blame Al for getting distracted!) All of the fraternity brothers: We then moved from the church to a hotel for the reception. The centerpieces were branches with flowers and crystals on them. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it, but trust me-the whole room was decorated beautifully! Their first dance: One part I really enjoy about the fraternity brothers' get-togethers is the time I get to spend with the ladies! I had a great time and SEVERAL laughs w...
