Tillie's Owls

We needed some owls to decorate Tillie's room! Yay for another crafty day! I first cut out the background color out of dark blue vinyl on my cricket: Then I cut out 2 more layers and put them on the wall: This was kind of tricky because they had to line up: Here are the finished owls: These next two owls didn't have eyelashes so Lauren and I cut them out and added them: Here are all the owls on the painted tree: We had a couple more projects we completed so I'll have to post them later! We are ready to meet baby Tillie!

Yucky Gold

So the start of track-out for me means CRAFT TIME! My first big project was to fix our front entry way. Here is a before shot: As you can see, gold fixtures around the glass door, dirty concrete, and no flowers! Here is a close up of the door before: No offense to those of you who like gold, I just really don't like it at all! My goal was to update it just a little. This is a good close up of the concrete before: Both Jeff and I went to work! Jeff borrowed a power-washer and scoured the ground. I took apart the door and spray painted it with silver paint: You can see a big difference here! Pulling the door apart was EASY! I actually did it when Jeff was at work one day. Putting it back together was SO much more difficult. It took both Jeff and I to put it back together and it took about 3 times longer to put it back than it was to take it apart. But all of the effort was worth it because here is what it looks like now: Remember ...

Reece's Birthday

Reece's 4th birthday party was this past weekend at Marbles museum. The party theme was dinosaurs.  Not only was this cake adorably cute, but it tasted good too! Korrie's shirt was perfect for this party! If you look closely you can see that it says: Mommasaurus. After food time we went around the museum and played! Cam and I made a wants and needs arch. Now...the teacher in me was thinking, "This would be great for our second grade economics unit!" Oh, my! Reece then made some pizza and delivered it on a bike: It's hard to believe that this little guy has already turned 4! He's growing up so fast! Happy Birthday Reece!

Lauren's Rockingham Baby Shower

Hunter and Lauren's baby, Tillie, is coming soon! Hunter's mother and sister threw Lauren a baby shower in their home town, Rockingham. Here was the present table: Each of the tables had pictures that Lauren had taken each week of her pregnancy: Here is the food table: Hunter's grandmother is a baker...a WONDERFUL baker. She made some adorably cute vanilla cupcakes that had little booties on the top. I will admit to this...I actually ate 2 because they were SO good! Hunter's family and friends showered them with many special gifts for baby Tillie! The nursery is going to be owl themed and the guests got some great additions to the nursery: We had to end the day with a sister picture: And a picture of the two lovely ladies that threw this party for Lauren: I'm so ready to meet baby Tillie!
