Naomi Update

So being a full time mom, wife, and teacher sure makes keeping up with blogging a lot more difficult. Because I have MLK day off I can let you all know how Naomi is doing...several months late :) *Naomi had been eating solids for one month by this point. She likes sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and puffs a lot.  *She has 2 bottom teeth. Nigh time was NOT fun while these little boogers decided to pop through her gums! Thankfully she is doing better now that they're through! *She's a little fish in the water, just like her mommy! *Naomi had to go to the doctor because she was sick (which is the only reason we knew her weight). Thankfully she's feeling better now! *She was pulling up on shelves and people at this point to stand. She would occasionally pull up on toys. *Naomi doesn't like for me to feed her much any more. She likes small finger foods like sweet potato or butternut squash sticks. She also likes black beans and bananas! *She'...

Last Swim Lesson

Naomi's last swim lesson was in November. It was a cold day and the heat in the pool was broken, so needless to say it was COLD! By the end of these lessons Naomi could reach for the edge of the pool, stick her face in the water voluntarily, and kick. I would say swim lessons were a success!  Our swim instructor, Siobhan: Naomi loved swim lessons so much that we signed her up for more lessons in the new year!

Seeing Santa

There is a fun farm in the area called Hill Ridge Farm. They have a really fun Christmas light show during this time of year. Santa is also there! We waited in line for 1 hour to see Santa! By that time Naomi was tired (it was 8:00) and ready for bed! Santa and Naomi snuggled for a little bit and Santa said thanks for giving him a break :) We definitely learned that next year we need to visit before the last weekend before Christmas! Unfortunately we didn't see the light show, maybe next year! :)

Christmas Parade

Because I'm a sucker for parades so we took Naomi to her first Christmas parade! It was a very nice day out! We tried Naomi's sunglasses on her...but they didn't stay on long! Every time a band passed Naomi was completely enthralled in them! Future band nerd in the making! :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving started off with a sister, husbands, and dog walk before we stuffed ourselves silly! A Riegel girl tradition started many years ago after watching Winnie the Pooh. Pooh and his friends play a game where they all put a stick in the river and see whose stick comes out on the other side first. We've called it Pooh sticks since we started playing. I won!  Back at the parents house ready to eat: Naomi enjoyed her first Thanksgiving meal: After Naomi's nap we went to have Thanksgiving with Jeff's family: Naomi enjoyed playing will all of the kids And Uncle Nich: Brother time:
